4 tools every sales professional should be using

Behind every good sales professional, there is an arsenal of tools and tricks supporting them.

Below are four of the best for 2018.

Docusign

Founded in 2003, Docusign “is changing how business gets done by empowering more than 300,000 companies and 200 million users in 188 countries to sign, send and manage documents anytime, anywhere, on any device, with confidence.” Quite simply, Docusign improves the efficiency of getting signed documentation, by allowing individuals to send documents electronically, to be signed virtually using their online portal. The documentation can then be stored within Docusign or intergrated into a number of platforms and CRMs. The tool also features a handy reminder function to allow you to send correspondence if a document remains unsigned.

Why is it good for sales professionals?

You’ve just had an amazing call with a potential customer, and you’re keen to make sure the transaction between you is as smooth and efficient as possible. Docusign is a great tool as it allows you to seamlessly send the contract over to your customer, and makes the process of them signing it pain free.-In a few clicks of a button, the contract is signed and returned.

Evernote

Evernotes tagline “stay organized” is quite self-explanatory. The tool acts as a great way to collate notes, web articles, scans and task lists. These can then be accessed from desktop and mobile, even when there is no internet connection. This allows you to collate relevant information into an easy to retrieve format. Evernote has a great search function, allowing you to get to the right note efficiently.

Why is it good for sales professionals?

Sales professionals know the importance of being organised. Evernote removes the need to remember information, allowing sales professionals to jump between processes faultlessly.

Hootsuite

Created in 2008 and used by over 15 million users worldwide, Hootsuite’s ‘Social Media Management’ dashboard integrates over 160 social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn. The platform allows the user to prepare social media updates in advance and schedule them for a date and time. As a free platform, the user is able to register up to three social network profiles but for a premium subscription this opens up to 10, 20 and even 50. Additional functionality is built into the premium subscription such as real-time analytics and social media certifications.

Why is it good for sales professionals?

If you use social media (such a LinkedIn) for work, Hootsuite is a great tool. It allows you to schedule posts at a time suitable to you, without you needing to remember to do it. Is there a post you re-use weekly? By scheduling an automatic post, at a time you are likely to reach your core market, you make sure it always reaches your audience at the right time, without needing to manually press ‘send’.

GoToMeeting

Owned by LogMeIn, a Boston-based SaaS provider, GoToMeeting allows the user to schedule video-conferencing meetings either immediately, or in the future using a simple, user-friendly interface. The platform integrates with a variety of different systems and email clients and is very easy to use. GoToMeeting also allows for screen sharing, collaborative working (using the drawing tools and virtual whiteboard features) and shared control functionality allowing you to pass control other to another participant seamlessly.

Why is it good for sales professionals?

GoToMeeting allows sales professionals to schedule video calls any place, any time. It is accessible on mobile, as well as desktop meaning face-to-face meetings with your prospects are only a click away.
