The Area Sales Manager is responsible for driving, managing and executing the business and revenue of the sales team within the assigned territory. They will analyse market dynamics in order to maximise existing success and generate new revenue growth opportunities. They will be responsible for preparing forecasts, territory / industry management and growth plans and educate their team on significant industry factors such as competitive products, regulations, trends, customer needs and pricing. Additionally, they will report on metrics of team performance. The role will be based anywhere in the UK or mainland Europe.
The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience within software sales and/or a leadership role. They will have a good knowledge of Application Lifecycle Management, DevOps or Opensource. They will have prior experience of selling to Fortune 500 organisations and utilsing CRM systems and Marketing Automation Systems (for example Salesforce, Clari or Marketo). They will be comfortable with travel and have strong presentation and communication skills. The ideal candidate can be based anywhere in the UK or mainland Europe.
