Who are ThreatConnect?

Established in 2011, ThreatConnect are the number one organisation in the Threat Intelligence space. Despite only being operational for five years, ThreatConnect have grown from a team of 30 to a team of over 100 employees in the last 12 months, and have more than 9,000 users within 1,200 government agencies and a number of the Fortune 5000 organisations. They are recognised by Gartner in the Threat Intelligence space, and are headquartered out of Virginia in the United States. They provide industry-leading advanced threat intelligence software, and their platform, ThreatConnect® is the most comprehensive of it’s kind of the market at the moment. Their platform effectively aggregates, analyses, and acts to counter sophisticated cyber-attacks.


Case Study

What was the brief?

ThreatConnect required assistance with fulfilling the placement of a Pre-Sales vacancy within the UK. JPS Selection were approached by ThreatConnect to help. A critical hire for ThreatConnect, the individual placed in this role would be the only Pre-Sales individual in EMEA at that time, and therefore it was integral that the right person was found. They required someone who had a consultative and advisory ability, with good technical skills in Linux and Java and also needed to be able to stand in front of customers independently of a sales individual being present.


What was our process?

As a key hire for ThreatConnect, the hiring manager flew to the UK to meet with our team and discuss the role, and any potential candidates JPS had in the mix. Included in that meeting was the profile of the individual JPS Selection subsequently placed into the role. JPS’ strategy for this particular requirement was to look at companies with strong security portfolios; drawing on our knowledge and experience within the sector. 11 donor companies were identified. This allowed JPS Selection to find individuals with exposure to multiple technologies, increasing the likelihood of a match and ensuring no stone was left unturned.


What was the outcome?

Due to the critical nature of this hire, the process took around 8 weeks to complete, and a candidate was successfully placed in the role, where they are still enjoying great success.
